Sundays Slow letter
The plants have shed their leaves and stems, creating good compost for their beloved seeds, they have pooled their strength into their roots and they rest, down there in the darkness.
The trees have let go of their babies, their acorns, nuts, conkers and fruit. They have shed the layers needed to make good soil for their precious ones to come. Redirecting their energy, they let go of outward growth and productivity, sinking their awareness into the soft darkness so they may dream the songs of the earth and the snaking mycelium.
Most animals are sleeping more, snuggled up, fat from fruits, roots, nuts and seeds, they have slowed their bodies and thickened their fur.
