Each full moon you are sent journaling prompts to explore in your own time.
Journaling can be a beautiful, non scary way to explore our hearts, our minds and our relationship to nature both inside and outside of us. It can be fun, interesting and inspiring. You do not have to be a writer, you do not need to able to spell well, be a poet, nor do you have to write regularly. Writing in this journaling form, is a tool, a tool to explore curiously what is held within and create a communion between the head and heart.
So grab your journal, a herbal tea or a jug of coffee, a blanket, a cosy space or whatever it is you need to explore these prompts along with pen/pencil and maybe a timer if you want to give yourself timings which I personally think is a good idea, but do what’s right for you.
Hello lovelies,
(Journaling and prompts are towards the end of this post, feel free to skip ahead if you like)
Happy Full moon to you all. In these last few days I have really felt autumn breathing into my bones and heart. And I enjoy this seasons softness and inner pull. It feel like a relief to my nervous system.
Fires, woolly jumpers and socks, darkness, deep contemplation and journaling call me in with their quite softness.
For these prompts I thought it would be lovely to explore a little bit of these aspects that can come in this season and also other parts of our journey too.
The land, the creatures and the rooted ones are all feeling the pull to go inward, to stop bothering with so much outward action, behaviour and habits, and instead, tend to the dark matter, the inner worlds and the new beginnings.
We are being drawn to shed and compost away what stops us heading into the darkness of our soil, our soul. We feel a pull to let go of and decay the habits, behaviours and stories that stop those seeds that lie in bone, flesh and heart from growing.
These prompts are going to explore this pull and our soil and our bodies.
Journaling
Free writing-
Start the process of journaling with free writing. If you are unsure what that means follow this link and read the description. Give yourself about 20 minutes if you can but you can do a longer or shorter stretch depending on your own needs.
Prompts - I often give timings for these, but I feel you are best use the time frame that suits you, for you know how much time you have available to you. It could be anything from 1 minute to 15 minutes or longer. There are more prompts than usual today, and so you could just pick the three that appeal to you the most if you don’t want to do them all.
When using these prompts, don’t hinder yourself with ideas of grand poetry, prose or wise words, but instead just let yourself start writing and just see what comes without stopping yourself, without judgement or criticism, but instead a healthy curiosity for the process
