Each full moon you are sent journaling prompts to explore in your own time.
Journaling can be a beautiful, non scary way to explore our hearts, our minds and our relationship to nature both inside and outside of us. It can be fun, interesting and inspiring. You do not have to be a writer, you do not need to able to spell well, be a poet, nor do you have to write regularly. Writing in this journaling form, is a tool, a tool to explore curiously what is held within and create a communion between the head and heart.
So grab your journal, a herbal tea or a jug of coffee, a blanket, a cosy space or whatever it is you need to explore these prompts along with pen/pencil and maybe a timer if you want to give yourself timings which I personally think is a good idea, but do what’s right for you.
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
― Anais Nin
Hello Lovelies,
Happy Full moon to you all.
According to the Celtic tradition, the January full moon is known as the Quiet Moon. The name Quiet Moon is likely in reference to the quiet season of rest before the beginning of the stirrings of birth come to land and body.
We are heading towards Imbolc, (Feb 1 and 2) an ancient Celtic and pagan festival that translates as ‘in the belly’ for it is when we become aware of what we hold inside, and the land like a heavily pregnant mama, feeling the stirrings of life wanting to take shape and unfurls into the light of day.
But it is also a time that represents the will of the wild, this will unfurls seeds, makes birds fly, recovers concreted spaces and turns them green and gold and pushes shoots above the earth. This will wants to support us to move, to allow our dreams to live through us, to let us move towards and grow what makes us feel alive.
Brigit, who comes out from the dark soil, arising from the underworld in Imbolc, brings with her dandelions, medicine and life force like a golden fire. She is the ancient goddess of wild will, herbal medicine, recovery and life force and this is a time when we celebrate her spirit and voice.
“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”

Free Writing -
Start the process of journaling with free writing. If you are unsure what that means follow this link and read the description. Give yourself about 20 minutes if you can but you can do a longer or shorter stretch depending on your own needs.
Prompts -
I often give timings for these, but I feel you should use the timing that suits you the most, for you know how much time you have available to you. Each prompt could be anything from 1 minute to 15 minutes. You don’t need to do all the prompts, just see which ones appeal to you.
When using these prompts, don’t hinder yourself with ideas of grand poetry, prose or wise words, but instead just let yourself start writing and just see what comes without stopping yourself, without judgement or criticism, but instead a healthy curiosity for the process. Letting yourself honestly explore and the feeling world within.
